The Quilt show I went to recently

Yes, these are ALL quilts. They were ABSOLUTELY amazing. The one of the girls was made out of zillions of little one inch square blocks that were painstakingly sewn together. The African one is ten paintings that were color fast tested, then sewn into a quilt!! The one of the bedroom had little jewels sewn into it and the curtain was real and billowing out of the quilt. Masters, all of them! If I could sew half as good I could die happy! ;)

The one of the two girls. If you had seen the amount of skill and work that went into it up close, you'd be amazed. and the quilting-wow!!

probably the purple and yellow. I like that it invites me to keep looking for patterns.
the girls are fascinating. I went to a website that if you put in a picture it would turn it into pixels for you to print and use as a guide for cross stitch or other needlework. You could do it for quilting too I guess. When I look at fiber arts I immediately try to figure out how they did it. That's the math in me. I can't imagine doing the waterfall type - all imagined rather than copied.
I think the way we look at art tells us something about ourselves. Or at least reinforces what we think we know about ourselves.
These would be fun to see in person.
