Amy's vintage living room quilts
I decided these needed their own separate post. I'm guessing that there might be other quilts around in other rooms/places? I found myself looking at wool mens suits at Goodwill on Saturday, thinking about the wool quilt. Did you know that the Southtowns plaza Goodwill, by where Amy used to live, doesn't accept linens? They only want the new stuff donated by Target. Blech. I got a quilt top at a Goodwill once and have been looking ever since.

Ah that is just the tip of the iceburg; come back when she gets unpacked...aa
I can never remember my password or figure out how to post a comment, thats what the test was. anyways, BB (granny) you will have to see the two new quilts I got from the hubby's deceased grandmother. 1 is from the 1800s and the other she handquilted it's very large to big to hang on the cabin walls, pattern is callled "Nosegay Path", it will go on the guest bed. You should have peeked in some of the bags in the basement, there is at least another 20 down there. P.S. we''ll take our chicken whenever you want to get rid of it..or was it a rooster? Are you bringing rolls sunday?
I'm absolutely drooling!
They go so WELL with the log cabin motiff too!
Makes the quilt I'm working in (different one now, a running quilt for Kitty) look absolutely garish.
And amy....a chicken??? I hope it's one of those weird looking, fluffy ones. I not only want lettuce, zucchini, etc, but now I want eggs too.
I need to get me a house someyear.
But then I'd be an adult, right? ;)
man I love old quilts.... that middle one is the same pattern as the quilt my granny (not BB) hand quilted for me for my wedding, I love it. cannot WAIT to have my own stash of quilts!
again with the chickens... lol
e, if you have that one, it makes me think it was MY grandma Pearl's? or Boo's? It doesn't sound like my mom.
Amy, 2 chickens that I am quite anxious to get rid of are a phoenix pair. Small and decorative and hardy. They do lay small eggs. I'll tell you all about them. Do you want fertile eggs or chicks this summer? I want to get the phoenix rooster out so that the stud rooster can certainly be the only well you know.
I'll bring rolls. Not that they're started.
I am going to google nosegay path.
